Whitland is a small town in Carmarthenshire, Wales, lying on the River Taf and is approximately 23km from Carmarthen Town. The 2019 electoral role shows the town to have a population of 2,328 residents. There are two schools in Whitland and it has many local sporting teams including Rugby union, football and cricket.

The footfall at Whitland station in 2018-2019 was 45,036.
