Llandovery is a market town in Carmarthenshire, Wales. It lies on the River Tywi north of Brecon Beacons National Park and Fforest Fawr Geopark. The town has a theatre, a heritage centre and a tourist information centre, which houses exhibitions on the Tonn Press, the area's droving history, and the 19th-century geologist Sir Roderick Impey Murchison. The Dolaucothi Gold Mines are located 10 miles (16 km) away near Pumpsaint.
