Walking with Ramble & Scramble
Children can now enjoy fun-filled walks from Burry Port, Llanelli, Fishguard & Goodwick and Pontarddulais stations! We’ve teamed up with Heart of Wales Line and Ramblers Cymru to commission three colourful maps for children to follow.
The maps are have been distributed to local schools and railway stations to encourage families to get outside during half term, summer holidays or whenever you like!
Created by Ramblers Cymru and initially piloted in the Southeast Wales Valleys, the colourful maps focus on the adventures of two dragons named Ramble and Scramble. We commissioned illustrator Arry Cain, creator of the characters, to produce three child-friendly maps centred around Burry Port, Llanelli and Pontarddulais stations.
Explore these easy to follow walks and uncover interesting facts about your local area! Walks will include points of interest and short interactive activities to engage young walkers, build confidence in map reading and make walking fun for all ages.
