Railway Heritage Project
Our “Railway Heritage” project celebrates the region’s rich rail history by hosting gatherings at local stations, bringing together enthusiasts, historians, museums, and the public to foster community. The first meetings were held in Swansea in January and Llanelli in May, with many more future meetings planned due to popular demand.
These events explore the history and vision of the project, inviting individuals and groups to contribute their unique perspectives and passions, whether they are history buffs, creatives, or train enthusiasts, all united in preserving our railway heritage.
During the previous meetings, we have delved into the fascinating history of our local railways and explored the vision behind the Railway heritage Project. We’re eager to share our plans for preserving and celebrating this unique aspect of our cultural heritage and excited to be part of the upcoming TFW Rail 200 project.
