As part of our community-led sustainable tourism project, we have installed an innovative “U-Turn” audio device at Fishguard and Goodwick railway station, created by Black Box in Baglan, South Wales.

This weatherproof unit features eight channels of short recordings covering a range of topics including local heritage, tourism highlights, community rail initiatives, and authentic local stories.

Designed to enhance the passenger experience, the device offers travellers an engaging and accessible way to connect with the area while waiting on the platform. Its content can be regularly updated, ensuring fresh and relevant stories are always available.

This initiative not only enriches journeys but also promotes local identity, encourages exploration of the surrounding area, and supports sustainable tourism by inspiring visitors to discover more of what the community has to offer.
